Pricing

* Some specialty lessons that require extensive preparation may incur an additional surcharge of $20 per session. This policy only applies to some very specific scenarios and does not apply to almost any of the standard tutoring services available.

Scheduling

Sessions are scheduled for 55 minutes on Zoom*. However, we block out time to allow at least an hour for each lesson. We will be happy to accommodate to your needs if you need more or less time. Feel free to contact us!

Sessions can be scheduled individually or regular weekly or bi-weekly meeting times can be set up. We are available most weekday afternoons and evenings, besides breaks and holidays. Some tutors also open for sessions on weekends. If you would like any specific time, let us know, and we’ll try our best to make the sessions work for you!

* Sessions can also be scheduled in person! If you are interested in non-virtual sessions, let us know, and we will be happy to accommodate. In most cases, in person sessions will occur at a university library or a coffee-shop near a suitable tutor.

Cancellation and Lateness Policy

Any session can be cancelled or rescheduled. We ask that you let us know about cancellations at least 24 hours before the session. If you will be arriving to a session late please let us know beforehand and we will try our best to ensure that we can still meet for the full allotted hour.

With pre-paid sessions we will rarely consider a session used unless we meet for the full time, even with unexpected cancellations. However, we reserve the right to consider a session used if students are not able to cancel or notify of lateness within at least 6 hours before the start of the session. If a student is late by 20 minutes or more without notice, we will consider the session used and it will be cancelled.

When paying per session, payment will not be collected until after the session, meaning that you can cancel anytime before the session.

If a student chooses to meet but decides that the session should end early for whatever reason, we reserve the right to consider the session to have gone on for the allotted time and charge for the session accordingly.

In the event that a tutor arrives over 10 minutes late to a session and the student does not have time after the allotted time to finish the hour of tutoring, we will grant one free session to make up for the lost time.

These policies exist to ensure fairness to the customer, and allow tutoring time to be allocated to meet demands of all clients.
